Let's Play Pickleball!

Courts are free to use and do not require reservations. Anytime courts are full, you must exit court and rotate after each game. All levels are welcome.

What is Pickleball? | USA Pickleball

Pickleball 101 - Beginners

Ages: 9+
Price: $25 per person/per lesson
Location: Savage Community Park, 13500 Dakota Ave.

This lesson is for beginner pickleball players. Players will learn the basic skills and rules of pickleball. Upon completion of the lesson, you will have the tools to play pickleball with your friends and family. Our instructor has played in pro tournaments and is certified as a professional instructor through the Professional Pickleball Registry which is the official education and certification partner for USA Pickleball.

What to bring: Participants should dress for the weather, bring a water bottle, wear tennis shoes, and bring a pickleball paddle. Note: We have a limited number of paddles available for use, if you need to borrow a paddle call 952-224-3443 to reserve a paddle for the lesson.

Kids Pickleball Lessons

Kids Pickleball Lesson

Ages: 8+
Price: $25

Try the fastest growing sport around. Get a head start as pickleball will be a high school sport soon! We’ll cover the basics: How to serve and return the ball, how to hit the ball out of the air, how to keep score, proper serving position and receiving position. At the end of our time together students will get a shot to play with and challenge our teaching pro Dan Brettschneider.

Challenge Court Wednesdays

We’re resetting our Wednesday night free open play for the 2026 pickleball season. On Wednesday evenings we will designate specific courts as challenge courts. Levels of the challenge courts will be 3.5-3.99, 4.0-4.49, and 4.5+. What does this mean? It means you and your partner can challenge the designated courts to a game and if you win you get to continue playing on that court until your team loses! We will have more details posted at the courts for Wednesday evening play, and we will still have some designated courts available for open play.

Friday A.M. Friendly Doubles Mixer

Ages: 50+
Price: $15 per person
Location: Savage Community Park, 13500 Dakota Ave.

Looking to enhance your pickleball game and meet new players in a friendly competition setting? Players that are beginners, improver’s and/or are rating themselves from 2.0-3.0 players based on USA Pickleball ratings are welcome. Individual players sign-up and are paired up for games with others each week.

Dan Patch Pickleball Tournament

Dan Patch Pickleball Tournament (5th Annual)

Unofficiated tournament. Players classify based on their own experiences, DUPR ratings will be reviewed, but results will not be DUPR’d. Depending on the number of team entries, classifications may be combined. Tournament Director has the right to re-classify if necessary. Players registering must play at the level of the highest-rated player on their team. Tournament schedule will be posted online by June 18.
