On July 5 at approximately 5:53 p.m., the Savage Police Department were dispatched to a motor vehicle crash (motorcycle vs truck) with possible injuries, at the intersection of Egan Drive and Glendale Road.

Upon arrival, preliminary information indicated that vehicle #1 while traveling south bound on Glendale Ave., struck vehicle #2 while it was turning west bound from the north bound lane of Joppa Ave onto Egan Drive.  The operator of vehicle #1 suffered serious injuries and was transported by ambulance to the hospital. The operator of vehicle #2 received minor injuries and was released at the scene.

The intersection was closed for approximately 1.5 hours for the Minnesota State Patrol to conduct their accident reconstruction and the clearing of the scene.

This investigation is in the early stages and the circumstances of the crash remain under investigation.

The Minnesota State Patrol, Savage Fire Department and the Burnsville Police Department assisted at the scene.
