This fall, Savage residents will vote to fill two open City Council Member seats, each for a term of four (4) years beginning Jan. 1, 2027.

To become a candidate for City Council, you must be:

• Eligible to vote in Minnesota.
• A candidate for no other office in the same election.
• A resident of Savage for 30 days before the general election.
  •  New this year! Candidates must show proof of residency.
• At least 21 years old when assuming office.

The filing period to become a candidate for City Council is July 14-28 at 5 p.m.
