FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
SAVAGE, MN – On Sunday, July 13, 2025, at approximately 8:24 p.m., the Savage Fire Department was dispatched to a structure fire at a single-family residence on 133rd Street in Savage.
Upon arrival, firefighters encountered an active structure fire and immediately began suppression operations. Through the coordinated efforts of Savage Fire Department personnel and mutual aid partners, the fire was brought under control quickly.
All family members safely evacuated the residence and no injuries were reported.
The Savage Fire Department received mutual aid assistance from:
- Burnsville Fire Department
- Prior Lake Fire Department
- Shakopee Mdewakanton Sioux Community Fire Department
- Shakopee Fire Department
- Bloomington Fire Department
"The quick response from our department and the excellent cooperation from our mutual aid partners was instrumental in bringing this incident to a successful conclusion," sad Fire Chief Bresnahan. "Most importantly, the family's safe evacuation demonstrates the importance of having working smoke detector.”

- Install and maintain working smoke detectors in your home
- Develop and practice a home escape plan with all family members
