Interested in reserving a shelter for your family reunion, birthday party or a graduation? We have several shelters to fit your needs. Continue reading to learn how to reserve a park shelter and to preview information about the different shelters we have in the city of Savage. 


How to Reserve

Payments are due at the time of reservation and are non-refundable.

24-Hour Drop Box
A 24-hour drop box available within the front door of Public Works. If using the 24-hour drop box, do not put card information or cash in the drop box. 

Important Notes about Reserving a Park Shelter

  • Picnic shelters and warming houses are reserved on a first come first serve basis.
  • All reservations require payment for reservation to be made final.
  • Reservation payments are non-refundable. 
  • Reserving a park shelter does not guarantee exclusive use of other park amenities, such as; ball fields, playgrounds, etc. Call using the contact information below with questions. 
  • Shelter reservations with a large attendance expected (50+ people at a time, or 100+ for Hidden Valley Shelter) may require a permit issued from the City. Some permits may take more than a one month notice to be finalized. Please contact Parks and Recreation ASAP if this applies to your event. 952-224-3420.
  • The Savage Parks and Recreation Division wants to ensure every visitor and renter to the parks has a positive experience. In order to ensure the parks and the picnic shelters are properly maintained, we ask that you abide by the following policies.

This 20 acre-park is located off of Boone Avenue and Highway 13/101. The park offers three ballfields, a soccer field, hockey and pleasure rinks with a warming house, a picnic shelter and plenty of open space. Dogs must be on leashes. It is unlawful to bring beer into a park in glass, kegs, barrels or other bulk tap quantities.
